The Israeli Ministry of Defense reported that Hezbollah's targeted attack on Israel was carried out using missiles and drones.
Hezbollah's statement stated that this action was revenge for the killing of Ali Khamenei. According to the Israeli military, shells fired by the group fell on open areas in Israeli territory.
Following this, the Israeli Ministry of Defense announced a targeted strike against high-ranking Hezbollah members in Beirut. The military statement emphasized:
"Hizbullah chose the Iranian regime, not the Lebanese state, and attacked our civilians. We were ready - they will pay a large ransom for it."
Later, the ministry also announced the destruction of Hezbollah's weapons depots and infrastructure in several regions of Lebanon.
Al-Arabia also reported that the head of Hezbollah's political division, Muhammed Ra'ad, was killed as a result of the Israeli strike.
