The Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs strongly condemned the intentional killing of Iran's Supreme Leader, Ali Khamenei, and called for an immediate cessation of hostilities in the region.
In an official statement, the Foreign Ministry of the People's Republic of China assessed the attack as a serious and dangerous act directed against Iran's state sovereignty.
Beijing officials, in particular the Beijing side, are calling on all interested parties to exercise restraint and resolve issues through diplomatic and political means in order to maintain peace and stability in the region, especially in the Middle East.
The Chinese side emphasized that the escalation of armed conflicts poses a serious threat to the security of the entire region and this situation may negatively affect international stability.
At the same time, according to Chinese analysts and experts, in the current situation, the probability of retaliatory strikes by Iran against the military forces of Israel and the USA remains high.
Experts do not believe that the Islamic Republic will soon experience internal political instability or the collapse of the state system. They cite the lack of unified opposition forces within the country as the reason for this, as well as the US's current lack of interest in deeper and broader intervention in this conflict.
