KamAZ presents new FORA

KamAZ and KRET have unveiled the new FORA "Night Charging" station, expected to revolutionize urban transport systems for electric buses. This device, named FORA EZS-DC-4M, has a power output of 160 kW and is specifically designed for overnight vehicle charging. This is reported by Ixbt.com reports .

Within the project, it takes approximately 2.5 hours to fully restore the electric buses' power. This solution stands out for being significantly cheaper than traditional ultra-fast charging complexes. The core idea of the project is to charge vehicles during the night when electricity tariffs are at their lowest.

Thanks to this, carriers can reduce costs and increase transport efficiency. Now, there is no need for electric buses to remain idle at charging terminals during the day. The new station operates at a voltage of 0 to 750 V and supports a current of up to 250 A.

Developers have included multi-level protection systems in the device, including protection against overloads, short circuits, and voltage surges. The equipment is designed to operate in temperatures ranging from -30 to +45 °C and is resistant to moisture and dust. Authorization can be done via an RFID card or a special mobile app.
