Canceling subscriptions gets harder: Android apps offer cheaper plans

Google has updated the Google Play Store subscription management API. Developers can now offer cheaper tariff plans to users when they attempt to cancel a service subscription. This is reported by Ixbt.com reports .
If a user decides to cancel a paid app subscription, the system will automatically show them lower-priced alternatives or temporary discounts. Through this method, Google provides developers with an additional tool to retain their audience.
Developers note that the cancellation process itself remains simple and clear. Users can still easily find the button to stop the subscription entirely. The new feature simply serves to dynamically display affordable offers.
Although some users may perceive this as an attempt to complicate the cancellation process, in practice, the changes are minimal. The user will see standard options to confirm cancellation, but now they will also be offered alternative prices to choose from.
