Will summer holidays in schools be shortened?
Reports have been circulating on social media that Uzbekistan might shorten three-month summer holidays to 1.5 months.

To verify these claims, Xalqtaliminfo.uz contacted the Ministry of Preschool and School Education.

According to the ministry, there are no plans to shorten summer holidays, and the information circulating on social media is unfounded.

Information:
As per Resolution No. 140 of the Cabinet of Ministers (2017), school holidays are scheduled as follows:
Autumn holidays – from November 4 (6 days);
Winter holidays – from December 28 (14 days);
Spring holidays – from March 21 (7 days);
Summer holidays – from the last exam day until September 1.

Additionally, first-grade students receive an extra one-week holiday in February.
