Ukraine Denies Kremlin’s Claims Regarding Chasiv Yar

At the center of a new geopolitical debate—Ukrainian officials have categorically denied the Russian Ministry of Defense’s statements about the complete capture of the city of Chasiv Yar, reports rbc.ua. According to Viktor Trehubov, press secretary of the “Khortytsia” operational-strategic group, the front line in the city has hardly changed for several months.

Trehubov states: “The truth is that part of the city was originally under Russian control, but this is nothing new. In reality, the other part of the city remains in the hands of Ukrainian defenders, and fierce fighting continues there regularly.”

Russian President Vladimir Putin, in his recent statement, claimed that Russian forces had taken Chasiv Yar. At the same time, Putin accused Ukrainian officials of being “unaware of the real situation” at the front.

Analysts believe that the development of events has ushered in a new phase in the information war between Ukraine and Russia. International observers note the need to carefully examine sources from both sides, as official statements in armed conflicts often contradict each other and are prone to manipulation.

Currently, the situation in Chasiv Yar remains tense—both sides are constantly vying for control, and fighting has not stopped. Observers and experts are closely watching to see how soon this conflict might be resolved.
