In 2024, Uzbekistan recorded a high level of sheep and goat meat production. According to the State Committee on Statistics, a total of 475.2 thousand tons of sheep and goat meat (live weight) was produced in the country last year.
It should be noted that 432.8 thousand tons of this amount came from dehkan and household farms. This once again confirms the significant role of household farms in the agricultural sector.
In addition, 22.7 thousand tons were produced by farms, while organizations engaged in agricultural activities produced 19.7 thousand tons of meat.
Experts believe that further development of local livestock breeding, particularly strengthening the feed base and introducing advanced technologies, can further increase meat production volumes.
