International initiatives of the Head of the Presidential Administration, Saida Mirziyoyeva, in the field of education are reaching a new level. On October 15, he met with the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Justice of the United Kingdom, David Lemmy. During the conversation, issues of further development of educational, cultural, and scientific cooperation between the two countries were discussed.
At the meeting, the main attention was paid to expanding opportunities for young people to receive modern knowledge and developing human capital. The parties agreed to bring the education system closer to international standards, introduce joint programs between educational institutions of the two countries, and strengthen scientific ties.
In particular, the prospects for implementing certain areas of the Cambridge education program in Uzbek schools, attracting qualified English-speaking teachers, and implementing joint projects for learning the Uzbek language at Oxford University were discussed.
This initiative will not only raise cooperation between the education systems of the two countries to a new level, but will also significantly enhance the international prestige of the Uzbek language. The language learning program at Oxford University is expected to increase interest in Uzbek culture in British and European research centers in the future.
During the meeting, issues of deepening scientific and educational ties between the two countries, expanding scholarship programs for young people, and launching bilateral academic exchange projects were also discussed.
As Saida Mirziyoyeva noted, these initiatives will not only create new opportunities in the field of education, but will also further strengthen the bonds of friendship and trust between the peoples of Uzbekistan and Great Britain.
According to experts, this cooperation will be an important step in introducing international experience into the education system of Uzbekistan, introducing modern methods, and increasing the scientific potential of the younger generation.
