According to official sources, from April 1, 2026, a strict restriction on cash will be implemented in Uzbekistan. Now, at fuel stations, payments for gasoline, diesel, propane, methane, and electric vehicle charging, as well as electricity, gas, and water payments, will not be made in cash. Payments are accepted only via card or electronic payment methods.
In addition, purchases exceeding 25 million soums are also made only via bank transfers. Using a card or electronic method is also mandatory for buying cars, housing, and other expensive goods.
This new regulation provides convenience for the population and entrepreneurs and ensures transparency and security of economic processes.
