Data of 36 Million Uzbek Citizens Found in MED-ID Database

The medical records of 36 million citizens in Uzbekistan have been integrated into the MED-ID database, the Ministry of Health reported. This information has been consolidated into the unified DMED system.

More than 20 state institutions, approximately 200 private healthcare facilities, and over 190 pharmacies in the Yunusobod district of the capital have been connected to the platform. In this district, the 'Electronic Prescription' system has been launched on a trial basis.

This initiative is aiding in the fight against counterfeit medicines. Additionally, doctors have been relieved of paperwork, completely abandoning 70 types of forms and journals.

It has reduced their workload by 30% and shortened the time required to receive test results.
