Shavat-Dashoguz Trade Zone Launched

Uzbekistan's President Shavkat Mirziyoyev and Turkmenistan's President Serdar Berdimuhamedov have inaugurated a new joint border trade zone, "Shavat-Dashoguz." The area currently hosts administrative buildings, customs facilities, phytosanitary, veterinary, and quarantine service points, a trade pavilion, and warehouses.

Additionally, state services, interactive services, banking, and medical services are provided following the "one-stop-shop" principle. The zone also features a hotel and a large parking area.

The opening of this trade zone aims to strengthen trade and economic ties between Uzbekistan's Khorezm region and Turkmenistan's Dashoguz region. These regions are home to over 3.5 million people.
