In January-November 2025, a total of 27.8 thousand citizens of Uzbekistan traveled abroad for training. This was reported by the National Statistical Committee.
It is noted that this indicator has significantly decreased compared to the same period last year: a decrease of almost 6.7 thousand people, that is, by 19.3%. This shows that there are factors influencing the interest and opportunities of Uzbeks to go abroad for education.
According to statistics, Uzbeks most often traveled to the following 10 countries for educational purposes:
- Russia - 6,235;
- Tajikistan - 5,943 people;
- Kyrgyzstan - 4,219 people;
- Korea - 3,410 people;
- Turkey - 2,381 people;
- China - 1,231 people;
- Kazakhstan - 1,074 people;
- Great Britain - 870 people;
- Germany - 384 people;
- USA - 333 people.
As can be seen from the figures, Russia is in first place - the largest number of those who went to study chose this country. Next are Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan. At the same time, Korea and Turkey traditionally remain one of the most popular destinations for Uzbek students.
