
The Tourism Committee has announced the establishment of car-free zones. The committee also released a list of locations where such zones have been introduced.
In Tashkent, Taras Shevchenko Street, in Nukus, the canal street of the "Friendship" recreation area, in Samarkand, the "Konigil" tourist village, and Islam Karimov Street have been transformed into car-free zones. The complete list is available on the committee's official website.
The primary goal of the program is to ensure convenient pedestrian access for visitors. Therefore, pedestrian zones are being established in major tourist hubs such as Bukhara and Samarkand.
