According to the State Committee of Statistics, from January to November 2025, the number of foreign citizens coming to Uzbekistan for medical treatment reached 80,653 people. This figure indicates significant development in Uzbekistan’s medical tourism sector and growing trust among foreign patients in the country’s medical services.
The majority of foreign patients visiting Uzbekistan during this period came from neighboring countries. According to local data, 55,851 people came from Tajikistan, 14,296 people from Kyrgyzstan, and 7,633 people from Kazakhstan to use Uzbekistan’s medical services.
Furthermore, many citizens from countries like Russia, Afghanistan, Turkmenistan, and Turkey also came for medical treatment. 1,820 people came from Russia, 678 people from Afghanistan, 219 people from Turkmenistan, and 47 people from Turkey. Additionally, 15 people each came from the USA and China, while 10 people came from Azerbaijan for medical services in Uzbekistan.
In addition, the number of foreign citizens visiting Uzbekistan for tourism purposes in January-November 2025 was 10.7 million people. Tourists from more than 200 countries visited Uzbekistan to enjoy its cultural and natural heritage.
Among the tourists, men accounted for 5,850,226 people, and women accounted for 4,899,104 people. Important data on age groups of tourists: 0-18 years — 1,383,437 people, 19-30 years — 1,756,723 people, 31-55 years — 5,427,650 people, and 56 years and older — 2,181,520 people.
It is clear that Uzbekistan’s medical and tourism potential continues to expand each year, and international recognition continues to grow. This opens up new opportunities for the development of the country's medical infrastructure and strengthening international partnerships.
