The Ministry of Justice of Uzbekistan has registered a document introducing updates to the procedure for tuition payments under the contract system in higher education institutions. Certain provisions of this document have been published on the ministry's Telegram channel.
According to the new regulations, first-year students must pay at least 25% of their contract amount by mid-September. Upper-year students are required to make this payment by the beginning of October.
Additionally, it is stipulated that 50% of the contract fee must be paid by early January, 75% by March 1, and the full payment must be completed by May 1.
Furthermore, the State Commission holds the authority to extend these deadlines. The contract funds will be allocated to improve the qualifications of young educators and researchers.
Moreover, higher education institutions may provide financial assistance to students in need. This assistance can amount to up to six times the minimum monthly wage per student annually.
