Burundi Ambassador Begins Duties in Uzbekistan

The Ambassador of Burundi to Uzbekistan, Joseph Nkurunziza, presented his credentials to the Uzbek Minister of Foreign Affairs, Bakhtiyor Saidov. "Our discussions were productive and future-oriented, aimed at expanding opportunities for cooperation between our countries," Minister Saidov stated after the meeting.
Diplomatic relations between Uzbekistan and Burundi were established in September of last year. A communiqué regarding this agreement was also signed during that period.
Burundi is a country located in East Africa and gained its independence from Belgian colonial rule in July 1962. According to preliminary forecasts for 2024, the country's population has exceeded 14.1 million people.
