900 billion soums to be allocated for clean air protection
In Uzbekistan, 900 billion soums are planned to be allocated in 2025 for the protection of clean air. This was announced by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economy and Finance Jamshid Qoʻchqorov while responding to questions from deputies at the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis.

Qoʻchqorov emphasized that these funds will be directed towards upgrading filtration systems at factories and improving the environmental situation. During the session, deputies inquired about the allocation planned in the 2026 budget for the installation of modern filters, purification systems, and other environmental measures.

According to Deputy Chairman of the National Committee for Ecology and Climate Change Jusipbek Qozibekov, an additional 548 billion soums are projected to be allocated in 2026 from extra revenues. Furthermore, Qozibekov noted that a special commission in Tashkent is working around the clock to improve the ecological situation.

The commission is conducting inspections, temporarily suspending the activities of certain enterprises, and implementing measures based on short- and long-term plans.
