An incident that occurred at School No. 11 in Izboskan district of Andijan region has drawn public attention. A video circulating on social media shows a representative of the school administration using physical violence against a student.
It was revealed that the person who struck the child with a stick was the deputy director of the educational institution. The incident took place on January 23 at around 10:00 a.m. on the school premises while students were being brought into class.
According to the Ministry of Preschool and School Education, disciplinary action in the form of a reprimand was imposed on the deputy director for behavior that completely contradicts pedagogical ethics and students’ rights. At the same time, the ministry stated that additional investigation into the incident is ongoing.
It is noted that the video clearly shows the deputy administrator treating the student roughly and physically assaulting him. This has once again brought the issue of child safety in educational institutions to the forefront.
In recent times, the growing number of violence-related incidents in the education sector across different regions of the country has caused serious public concern. Responsible authorities emphasize that strict measures will be taken against such cases.
