The China Aerospace Science and Technology Corporation (CASC) announced that it has successfully launched six "Shiyan-27" satellites into sun-synchronous orbit.
The launch was carried out at 06:51 Beijing time from the Taiyuan Cosmodrome using a CZ-6A (Changzheng-6A) rocket. This is the 570th launch of the Long March series of rockets.
According to the corporation, these satellites are mainly used to study the space environment and conduct related technological research.
The two-stage CZ-6A rocket is 50 meters long and runs on an environmentally friendly mixture of kerosene and liquid oxygen. The rocket is equipped with four solid-fuel boosters and is capable of delivering payloads weighing about 6.5 tons to an orbit of 500 kilometers.
This is the 26th mission of the CZ-6A rocket type, and its third flight in 2025.
