An Uzbek citizen, who had planned to start a fire at the Kuban industrial oil refinery in Russia, was arrested. This was reported by TASS news agency, citing information from the Federal Security Service of Russia (FSB).
According to the information, the man, who committed this crime, was carrying out orders from his curator with the aim of joining an international terrorist organization. The Uzbek citizen had prepared a Molotov cocktail and planned to set fire to the dormitory at the Kuban oil refinery. Through this act, he wanted to scare the population and become the cause of mass unrest.
According to his plan, after committing the crime, he intended to spread a video of the crime on the internet to cause public panic, and then go to Afghanistan and join an international terrorist organization. Law enforcement officers took timely action against him. An investigation was launched against the detained individual under several articles of the Russian Criminal Code: Article 30 (preparation for a crime), Article 205 (terrorist act), and Article 205.5 (participation in the activities of a terrorist organization).
Currently, investigations are ongoing to examine his actions and the underlying reasons that led him to this. The case requires deeper investigation. At this moment, the criminal continues to carry out all instructions to join a terrorist organization, posing a threat not only to the country but also to international security.
The detention of the Uzbek citizen and the timely identification of his terrorist plan played a significant role in ensuring the country's security.
