Sinwar’s widow fled to Turkey on a fake passport and remarried

The widow of slain Hamas leader Yahya Sinwar, Samar Abu Zamar, left the enclave with her children and has married again in Turkey, regional sources reported, Haqqin.az said.

According to Palestinian and Israeli sources, her departure required “a high level of coordination” and an amount of money not available to the average Gaza resident; it is also said that a forged passport was used in the documentation.

Sources state that Samar Abu Zamar crossed into Egypt through the Rafah checkpoint and from there headed to Turkey; Israeli security structures are cited as confirming that the wives of the two Sinwar brothers, including Yahya’s widow, managed to cross the border before their husbands were killed.

Middle Eastern publications report that her new marriage in Turkey was carried out through the mediation of Hamas political bureau member Fathi Hammad; the group’s leaders are said to have previously set up a clandestine network to move families out, using fake passports, falsified medical notes about “illness,” and quiet understandings with certain foreign embassies.

Reports also mention that Yahya’s brother Muhammad Sinwar’s wife, Najwa, likewise left the enclave with her children and is possibly in Turkey; she too is believed to have crossed via Rafah.

It is emphasized that, as the families of the leadership move to safer areas, public resentment is rising in Gaza, where ordinary people remain under bombardment, food shortages, and displacement; some observers say trust in Hamas may drop further amid these reports.
