Customs duties will increase in Russia

Customs duties will increase in Russia

From January 1, 2026, the rates of customs duties in Russia will change. According to the Federal Customs Service, these changes are being introduced as a result of the country’s obligations to the World Trade Organization and accumulated inflation.

The goal is to make customs duties fairer and cover the costs of customs operations. At the same time, duties on items intended for export and for personal use will remain unchanged.

Also, the new rates will not affect goods brought into the country by ships and airplanes. Participants in foreign economic activity will have time to adapt their operations, as the new rules will only take effect from January 1, 2026.

In January–September 2025, 15.7 percent of Uzbekistan’s foreign trade turnover accounted for Russia.
