"Can't you pay $100 in tax after earning $1000?" — Davron Ergashev's sharp question sparks debate

Davron Ergashev's statement on social media sparked widespread discussion. In his speech, he sharply criticized some artists who, despite earning good incomes, were dissatisfied with taxes.

The artist emphasized that he directed these remarks specifically at singers with high incomes who receive large fees for weddings:

"I read the comments. Many of those who expressed negative opinions included local singers. But I said these words specifically to singers with high ratings, who perform at weddings for prices above 6 million soums. This does not apply to everyone," he said.

He also assessed the careless attitude towards the tax issue as shameful:

"Even a simple street vendor pays taxes, so why can't we — artists? If you go to a wedding for $1000, isn't it difficult to pay at least $100 in taxes? Isn't that shameful?" Ergashev asked sharply.

He concluded his speech briefly, stating he did not wish to add anything further. In the social media comments, many supported his views and emphasized the need to approach the issue seriously.
