New data released by the National Statistics Committee shows that the level of technical equipment in households across the country has reached a record high. Zamin.uz presents this interesting statistical analysis for your attention.
Motorization process: A great leap over 15 years
Over the last fifteen years, the rate of private vehicle ownership in our country has grown remarkably. Statistical observations show that the number of passenger cars in Uzbek households has tripled. Analyzing the process by year reveals the following picture:
Number of cars per 100 households:
- 2010 — 21 cars;
- 2015 — 42 cars;
- 2020 — 49 cars;
- 2025 — 61 cars.
Significant growth in the last decade
While only 21 out of every hundred families had a passenger car in 2010, five years later, by 2015, this figure exactly doubled to reach 42. This growth rate did not stop in subsequent years.
Despite the pandemic and economic difficulties in 2020, the indicator rose to 49. As of the current situation in 2025, an average of 61 passenger cars fall per 100 households in our country. This means that almost every second household has at least one, and some have two vehicles.
What does this indicate?
Such rapid growth is explained by the increase in the population's purchasing power, more offers in the automobile market, and a more convenient credit system. A private car is no longer a luxury but has become a daily necessity.
Dear customers, how many cars are there in your household? In your opinion, to prevent traffic jams on the roads, should the number of cars be limited or should the roads be expanded?
