The long-awaited news – Disney studio has presented the major trailer of the next installment of the famous franchise “Avatar: Fire and Ash.” This film, considered one of the largest projects in the world film industry, is generating great interest among audiences as James Cameron expands his beloved universe even further.
In terms of the plot, the new part is a direct continuation of “Avatar: The Way of Water” and introduces an entirely new tribe – the fire Na’vi people. They are shown not as friendly as before, but as a society with a completely different character. The leader of this tribe is played by Spanish actress Oona Chaplin, well known to viewers from the series “Taboo” and the film “The Long Way.”
The film is expected to reveal previously unseen regions of Pandora, new characters, and events not mentioned in the earlier installments. At the same time, the main characters portrayed by Sam Worthington, Zoe Saldana, and Sigourney Weaver will return to their roles. Viewers may also expect appearances by Kate Winslet, Giovanni Ribisi, David Thewlis, and Stephen Lang.
The “Avatar” franchise remains one of the most profitable projects in world cinema history. The first film, released in 2009, achieved record box office results. Its sequel, “Avatar: The Way of Water,” premiered in 2022 and, with billions in revenue, further strengthened the franchise’s prestige.
What makes the third part especially notable is that it is expected to be the longest film in the franchise. According to director James Cameron, its runtime will be 3 hours and 12 minutes. He emphasized that during this time, the audience will enjoy not only the unique landscapes of Pandora but also more complex and multifaceted storylines.
The international release of “Avatar: Fire and Ash” is scheduled to begin on December 19, 2025. Therefore, the excitement around the film continues to grow, and it is expected to break records once again.
