Zootopia 2 Sets Record with $556 Million in Three Days

Record from "Zootopia 2": $556 million earnings in 3 days
“Zootopia 2” achieved a record-breaking $556 million in global revenue over the extended holiday weekend, marking the best opening result among animated films. This was reported by the DTF portal.

During the Thanksgiving weekend, the sequel to the popular animated movie earned $156 million in the United States. Additionally, the film generated $400 million outside the U.S., with $272 million of that coming from the Chinese market.

The total global earnings for the first weekend amounted to $556 million, making it the fourth most successful opening in cinematic history and setting an absolute record among animated films. The unprecedented success is attributed to the popularity of the previous installment, the holiday weekend, and high audience ratings: a 95% score on Rotten Tomatoes and an “A” grade from CinemaScore.

Analysts predict that “Zootopia 2” is likely to become Disney's next billion-dollar project. Meanwhile, the musical film “Wicked: Part 2” also performed well over the holiday weekend, earning $93 million and bringing its total revenue to $393 million.
