Arsenal drop points away as they fail to beat Nottingham Forest

In Matchweek 22 of the Premier League, title-race leaders Arsenal travelled to face Nottingham Forest. Despite looking like favourites on paper, the game was tense, disciplined and physical — and it ended goalless: 0–0.
Both sides created enough chances to score. Nottingham tried to hurt Arsenal on quick counter-attacks, while Arsenal aimed to keep control and break the defence down through combinations. But the final touch and decision-making lacked precision: someone arrived a step late, someone failed to deliver the ball to the right area.
Still, this draw is not a major disaster for Arsenal. The London side moved to 50 points and kept top spot in the table. Nottingham Forest remain 17th with 22 points and must keep collecting points to pull away from the relegation zone.
As for the line-ups, Nottingham featured Sels, Williams, Murillo, Sangare, Hudson-Odoi, Gibbs-White and others, while Ndoye replaced Jesus in the 76th minute. For Arsenal, Raya, White, Saliba, Gabriel, Timber, Rice, Odegaard, Martinelli and Gyokeres played key roles. After the break, Trossard (46), then Merino (57), Eze (79) and Saka (87) were introduced in an attempt to add fresh energy.
In summary, Arsenal could not win away from home, but their position in the title race remains intact. Nottingham, meanwhile, earned a point against a top opponent — a draw that could prove extremely valuable by season’s end.
