Singer Feruza Jumaniyozova clarified rumors about performance fees in Khorezm during one of her interviews on the “Interview TV” program.
The host asked the singer:
“Is it true that your one-time performance in Khorezm costs 5,000 dollars?”
Answering the question, Feruza Jumaniyozova confirmed:
“Yes, of course, that is so.”
The host then asked for clarification:
“Is your performance the same as in Tashkent, that is, do you sing 4–5 songs and leave?”
The singer emphasized that this is not the case and said:
“No, it is different. Our performance lasts from 1 hour to 1.5 hours. In Khorezm, artists are valued and respected in a special way. The requirements for weddings here are also different and more demanding. Coming, singing 4–5 songs to a phonogram and leaving, as in Tashkent, is not accepted. In Khorezm, live singing is required. Therefore, the price is set accordingly.”
The singer also added that she does not set a fixed price:
“However, the mentioned amount is only indicative. We come to an agreement. There is blessing in fairness. I have never told anyone an exact amount. I am an artist who thinks about the people and works according to their conditions. You may have heard about 5,000 dollars from someone or somewhere, but I have never bargained over prices and will not do so in the future. If they say 2,000 dollars, I will go for 2,000; if they say 1,000 dollars, I will go for 1,000 as well — it all depends on the conditions.”
