Weekly dynamics
Throughout the week, the dollar-to-soum rate experienced certain fluctuations. In the first half of the week, a notable decline was observed:
Monday: –11.98 soums
Tuesday: –63.89 soums
Wednesday: –48.99 soums
This downward trend could be linked to dynamics in international markets, import-export operations, and changes in domestic demand.
In the second half of the week, an upward correction was recorded:
Thursday: –13.94 soums
Friday: +34.69 soums
As a result, the overall weekly change of the US dollar rate turned out positive for the national currency, ending with a 104.11-soum decline.
The Central Bank continues to form exchange rates based on market mechanisms, aiming to maintain economic stability. Such currency fluctuations are viewed as indicators of the global economic environment, foreign trade volume, and domestic economic activity.
