
The most beneficial foods for the liver are raspberries and avocados. This was stated by hepatologist Elena Butenko in an interview with Gazeta.ru.
“First of all, it is avocado. This unique product contains a lot of monounsaturated fats, which slow down the process of liver damage and help it recover faster from the harmful effects of the environment. This exotic fruit contains a lot of fiber, antioxidants, a complex of vitamins and minerals,” the expert explained.
In addition, rye flour and berries, in particular strawberries, raspberries, wild strawberries, grapes, blueberries and watermelon, have a beneficial effect on the liver. It contains a lot of fluid, which helps to remove toxins and waste from the body.
The hepatologist especially noted the benefits of green tea. Due to antioxidants, it significantly reduces the development of liver cancer, as well as inflammation and oxidation processes.
Butenko also advised paying attention to grapefruit. It contains substances that help protect the body from damage by harmful substances, stimulate regeneration and restore hepatocytes. In addition, eating grapefruit helps to lose weight and reduces the level of harmful fats in the liver.
