Paid Parking Rates in Tashkent to Be Reviewed

The People's Democratic Party of Uzbekistan (PDPU) has emphasized the need to review the parking fees in Tashkent. According to party representatives, daily parking fees in the city center have reached nearly 100,000 soums.
Monthly fees have exceeded the minimum wage, a situation deemed contrary to the principles of social justice. A modern, organized, and convenient transportation system is essential for everyone.
However, such a system must align with the income levels and capabilities of the population while addressing their primary needs, the party stated. PDPU representatives highlighted that all established tariffs must be economically justified and fully transparent to the public.
Additionally, they proposed introducing free parking for a certain period near social institutions.
