Sarvar Zafarjonov Wins Silver Medal in Riyadh

On November 11, 2025, the sixth Islamic Solidarity Games continued in Riyadh. In the weightlifting competition, Uzbekistan’s representative Sarvar Zafarjonov won a silver medal in the 88 kg weight category in the clean and jerk exercise.

Zafarjonov successfully lifted 161 kilograms. This achievement earned him second place and added another medal to the Uzbekistan national team’s tally.

Our athlete performed confidently in his first two attempts and secured a result in his decisive third attempt that guaranteed the silver medal.
