The Tashkent Metro will extend its operating hours for residents and guests of the capital in connection with the New Year holiday. This was officially announced by the press service of the Tashkent Metro.
In order to make it convenient to use public transport on the eve of the holiday, metro trains will run continuously from 05:00 on December 31 to 01:00 on January 1, that is, for an hour longer than usual. This decision is expected to be quite beneficial for those who will celebrate the New Year in the city.
Also, on December 31 and January 2, which are additional days off, the metro will operate according to the Saturday schedule. In the new year itself - on January 1, trains will run according to the Sunday schedule. Monday, January 5, has been designated as a regular working day for everyone, and on this date, metro service will be organized according to the standard working days.
Benefits are also provided for car drivers during the holidays. In particular, paid parking in Tashkent will be provided free of charge from December 31 to January 4, including January 4. Representatives of the capital's parking lot told "Gazeta.uz" that during the holidays, the payment function in the mobile application will be temporarily disabled, and tariffs will be reduced to zero. However, the "Parking" button will remain active.
Experts emphasize that these measures will facilitate movement in the city during the New Year holidays, reduce traffic congestion, and create a more comfortable environment for the population.
