British famous boxerAnthony Joshuanew details have emerged about the road traffic accident involving him. Witness Adeniyi Orojo shared his recollections of how the crash happened and what followed in the minutes after.
According to him, a Lexus crashed into a stationary truck — a Pajero. At the time, Anthony Joshua was seated in the back, behind the driver. There were four people in the car in total.
“As soon as the crash happened, we started rescue efforts until road services and an ambulance arrived. Unfortunately, the driver and the person sitting next to Joshua died at the scene,” Orojo told the Daily Express.
The witness said everything happened very quickly, but due to the force of the impact it was impossible to prevent tragic consequences for some.
It was later officially confirmed that the people who died a few hours after the incident were Anthony Joshua’s strength and conditioning coach and his personal trainer. Joshua himself escaped with minor injuries and is said to be under medical supervision.
The tragedy is being described as a major loss not only for the boxer’s team, but for the entire sporting community.
