As previously reported, a tragic road traffic accident on the Lagos–Ibadan highway shocked the global sports community. In the crash, the car carrying renowned boxer Anthony Joshua slammed into a stationary truck, leading to severe consequences.
It was reported that two people died as a result of the accident, while Anthony Joshua himself escaped with minor injuries. After some time, the identities of the deceased were officially disclosed.
According to information published by Sports Illustrated, the victims of the crash were the British boxer’s strength and conditioning coach Sina Gami and his personal coach Robert Lats. For many years, they played a key role in Anthony Joshua’s professional career and were regarded as the specialists responsible for his physical condition and in-ring preparation.
