The Ogun State Government in Nigeria has released an official update on the health of renowned boxer Anthony Joshua following a car crash involving him. According to the local administration, the athlete and another passenger were urgently taken to a specialized medical facility in Lagos.
It is reported that after comprehensive medical examinations at the hospital, doctors confirmed that both injured individuals are in stable condition. Neither required emergency surgery or additional medical intervention. However, a dedicated medical team has been formed to keep the patients under continuous observation.
The Ogun State Government’s statement was shared with the public via the BBC. Officials emphasized that Joshua’s condition is stable and said all medical procedures are being carried out in line with international standards.
Unfortunately, the crash did not pass without serious losses. It was reported that Anthony Joshua’s coaches, Kevin Latif and Sina Ghami, died as a result of the incident. The news is being received with deep sorrow in the sports world.
The boxer’s health is currently under doctors’ supervision, and his condition is assessed as satisfactory.
