
The Portuguese national team and "Al-Nassr" football club forward Cristiano Ronaldo has entered the world of mixed martial arts (MMA). He announced that he has become a shareholder in WOW FC, a Spanish MMA promotion.
The footballer revealed the news on his social media platform X. "I am thrilled to announce big news: I’m becoming a shareholder of @wowfcmma!
This project aligns with my values – discipline, respect, resilience, and always striving for excellence. WOW FC is creating something unique and powerful, and I am proud to join this project," Ronaldo wrote.
Ronaldo stated that his interest in MMA has existed for many years and described WOW FC as a project with great growth potential. He noted that the organization embodies values close to him as an athlete, and he plans to contribute to the league's development.
WOW FC was established in 2019 and is currently recognized as one of the largest MMA organizations in Spain. One of its ambassadors is UFC champion Ilia Topuria.
Representatives of WOW FC highlighted that their partnership with Ronaldo aims to strengthen the organization's international standing and draw attention to the mixed martial arts market in Spain.
