The fall in the dollar has harmed UEFA

The Union of European Football Associations (UEFA) reported in its 2024/25 season report that the fall in the dollar exchange rate caused significant financial damage to the organization. As a result of these economic and geopolitical changes, UEFA lost about 50 million euros.
The report notes that over the past few years, UEFA has extensively used the strong dollar to generate additional profits and generated substantial returns in the foreign exchange market. However, a sharp decline in the US dollar exchange rate in March 2025 - a weakening of almost 9 percent - caused financial losses for the organization in the amount of 47 million euros.
According to the UEFA report, this situation was caused by economic conditions and market changes, as well as the global geopolitical situation.
