President: 6 million young people will be engaged this summer — “Every day is an opportunity”
On May 15, a selector meeting on school education was held under the leadership of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev. Along with the quality of education and priority areas, special attention was given to organizing meaningful leisure activities for youth during the summer break.

“Barkamol Avlod”, “Yoshlar” and Student Centers — under a unified system

Currently, there are 219 “Barkamol Avlod” schools across the country, serving 350,000 children. Additionally, there are 14 “Yoshlar” sports societies and a Republican Center for Student Youth. At the meeting, it was decided to merge these institutions into a single system and modernize them using creative and innovative approaches.

These centers will now offer clubs in English, artificial intelligence, programming, graphics, and animation. In Karakalpakstan, Khorezm, Samarkand, Bukhara, and Tashkent, 100-seat children’s tourism bases will be launched.

Summer for youth — not just a break, but a field of opportunity

Soon, over 6 million schoolchildren and more than 1 million students will begin their holidays. As the president noted, summer is not just for rest, but also a great opportunity to develop the creative, intellectual, and physical potential of young people.

Accordingly, governors and education sector leaders were given specific instructions:
  • All school sports fields and classrooms will be opened for youth;
  • Clubs for academic subjects, sports, and professions will be launched;
  • In schools with low performance in certain subjects, top specialists will be engaged to conduct 6-hour learning courses.

Major projects and summer activities

Presidential initiatives include:
  • Over 900 theaters, cultural centers, and concert halls;
  • Around 1,500 sports grounds;
  • 200 summer camps and more than 2,000 tourism facilities will serve youth activities;
  • Projects like “Ibrat’s Descendants”, “Girls’ Academy”, and “Reading” will be implemented in schools and camps;
  • Day camps for 100,000 students will be launched;
  • A school league for the “Zakovat” intellectual game will be created;
  • Through “Digital Generation” and “Digital Generation Girls” projects, more than 50,000 youth will receive training in IT and e-sports;
  • 100,000 young people will join volunteer activities within “My Mahalla — My Pride” project;
  • Activities on artificial and natural water bodies will be organized with ensured safety;
  • Under the “Youth Tourism Month”, excursions to museums and historical sites will be organized for 1 million youth.

Personally overseen by the president

It was emphasized that a special headquarters will be created to oversee the implementation and effectiveness of all these initiatives. Every project and event will be under the personal supervision of the president.
