Is a rich man's town being built in New Tashkent: the truth has been revealed, official comment

In recent days, reports have spread on social networks that, in addition to ordinary apartment buildings and cottages, a "wealthy town" is being built in New Tashkent as part of a large mega-project planned for completion by 2030, with each villa valued at 2-3 million dollars.
In order to clarify these discussions, the press service of the Directorate for the Construction of the City of New Tashkent gave an official response.
It was reported that the New Tashkent project does not plan to build any separate "rich city." The news spread on social networks does not correspond to reality.
It is noted that the cottage-type houses reflected in the model of the first stage of urban development are planned to be used as official housing for ambassadors of foreign states in Uzbekistan, as well as representatives of international organizations.
According to officials, the construction of New Tashkent is currently progressing rapidly as part of the first phase. Currently, construction work is underway on an area of 6 thousand hectares.
According to the plan, by 2033, modern residential buildings, engineering networks, road infrastructure, social facilities, and service buildings for 600 thousand people will be built in the region in stages.
After the project is fully completed, it is planned that New Tashkent will become a modern metropolis with a population of two million people.
