Forecasters issued a warning about possible mudflows and floods in the regions. Due to expected precipitation on February 24–25 and changes in air temperature, mudflow-related flooding may occur in the mountainous areas of the republic.
It is noted that the risk is high in Tashkent region in the Bostanliq, Parkent, and Ohangaron districts (mountains of the Chatkal range). In Namangan region, the risk of snow avalanches is announced in Pop district.
Also, due to expected precipitation and air-temperature changes on February 26–27, 2026, mudflow-related flooding is possible in the mountainous areas of the republic, including in the following districts:
— Kashkadarya region: Dehqonobod, Kitob, Qamashi, Shahrisabz districts.
— Surkhandarya region: Boysun, Qumqo‘rg‘on, Sariosiyo, Uzun districts.
— Samarkand region: Nurobod, Qo‘shrabot, Samarqand, Urgut districts.
— Jizzakh region: Baxmal, Zomin districts.
— Tashkent region: Bostanliq, Parkent, Ohangaron districts (mountains of the Chatkal range).
— Namangan region: the risk of snow avalanches is announced in Pop district.
Residents of mountainous areas, vacationers, and drivers traveling in mountainous areas were asked to take precautionary measures.
