The "Second Chance" project will provide vocational training for young people released from prison

At the meeting, the issue of the speedy adaptation of young people who have served their sentences in correctional institutions to society was raised as one of the most important areas. It is noted that such young people face many obstacles at the "return to life" stage, so they need a clear path, a practical profession, and a stable source of income.
It was announced that the "Second Chance" project will be launched for this purpose. Within the framework of the project, young people who have served their sentences will be trained in modern areas in intensive courses lasting 8-12 months. In particular, programming, web design, computer engineering, other in-demand professions, as well as foreign languages will be taught. Ultimately, it is planned to provide them with practical assistance in obtaining a profitable job, that is, in "restarting."
It is reported that this system will start on June 1 in Navoi, Kashkadarya and Tashkent regions. Next year, it is planned to expand the project to all regions of the country.
After the President concluded his speech, an open dialogue with young people began. Currently, reports of responsible officials are being heard at the event, and proposals and initiatives of young people are being heard.
In short, "Second Chance" is a project true to its name: it prioritizes the future of young people over their past. If the system works correctly, this will be a real start for thousands of young people, and for society, it will be a powerful step in reducing risks and increasing useful personnel.
