An important update has been announced regarding the process of choosing medical colleges, which has drawn great interest among applicants in our country. On August 20, the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Innovation reported that the selection process for medical colleges based on bachelor’s entrance exam scores will continue until August 28 inclusive.
This process is organized through the Abu Ali ibn Sina Public Health Colleges. In these institutions, admission to programs of secondary and secondary-specialized vocational education in full-time study is carried out according to the principle “first test, then choice,” the ministry noted.
Convenient opportunities for applicants
According to the information, applicants who registered online via the platform my.uzbmb.uz from June 5 to June 25 and participated in the entrance exams may also take part in the selection for admission to medical colleges, if they wish.
The process will proceed as follows:
-
Applicants who chose the main subject block biology + chemistry or chemistry + biology will be evaluated based on the total points scored.
-
If biology or chemistry is not included in the main block, applicants may choose a specialty based on their scores in the compulsory subjects (native language, mathematics, history of Uzbekistan).
Thus, the opportunity to select medical colleges will last until August 28.
Results and other colleges
The final results — whether the applicant is recommended for enrollment or not — will be announced within one week after the selection process is fully completed.
Meanwhile, admission to non-medical colleges will continue via the platform my.edu.uz until September 10, 2025 inclusive.
Here, entrance exams for both full-time and evening programs will be held in written form, according to established procedures.
Admission quotas
For the 2025/2026 academic year, admission parameters have been approved for 549 colleges based on general secondary education. A total of 143,114 seats have been allocated, including 66,484 state grants.
-
Full-time education — 102,194 seats (including 49,234 state grants);
-
Evening education — 2,250 seats;
-
Dual education — 38,670 seats (including 17,250 state grants).
Thus, opportunities for applicants are expanding, providing more convenience in choosing their future profession.
