The Uzbekistan national team once again spoke at the Asian Road Cycling Championship in Saudi Arabia. The next day of the competition also ended joyfully: our athletes reached the finish line with prizes and enriched our medal collection.
In the group race among young people, Gulhayo Sattorova performed very strongly. Despite the difficult pace, fierce competition, and struggle in the final meters, she crossed the finish line third. As a result, Gulhayo won a bronze medal in this program, further raising the team's score.
Another piece of good news came from the competition between veteran athletes. Olga Zabelinskaya distinguished herself with her experience, patience, and confident speed in the race, in which athletes over 45 years old participated. He showed equally high results in both disciplines and won two gold medals.
In short, these results in the championship show that our cycling is in a good mood, with sufficient reserves and experience. Now, the most important thing is to maintain this pace and further increase the number of medals in subsequent starts.
