A fine has been introduced for violating safety requirements in the metro

Administrative liability has been established for violation of traffic safety requirements in the metro and railway transport. This is reflected in the law adopted on February 5 of this year, which provides for amendments and additions to certain legislative acts.

According to the amendments made to the law, violation of traffic and passenger transportation safety rules on railway transport and the metro entails administrative liability.

In particular, a fine of 10 times the basic calculated value has been established for officials and employees for these violations.

It is also envisaged that deliberate concealment of information about an incident or situation related to a violation of traffic and transportation safety in railway transport and the metro will also entail a fine for officials in the amount of 10 BRV.

In addition, liability measures in the field of road transport have been strengthened. In particular, transportation of passengers without the appropriate certificates, unjustified increase in fare tariffs, non-compliance with the approved schedule of regular routes, as well as deviation from the approved route scheme will entail the imposition of a fine in the amount of 3 BRV.

It is reported that this law will come into force three months after its official publication.
