Meat prices have risen again in Uzbekistan

In Uzbekistan, prices for beef and mutton continue to rise. Last year, the price of meat increased sharply, which seriously affected the daily expenses of the population. At the beginning of the new year, there were no signs of a decrease in prices on the market.

Experts note that in 2025, the growth rate of meat prices was several times higher than the overall inflation rate. At the same time, the volume of local meat production slowed down, and imports increased sharply. These factors put additional pressure on prices in the market.

The trend of price increases persisted in January 2026. In particular, prices for beef and mutton have risen again in large markets in Tashkent over the past month. Significant growth is observed, especially in the lamb segment.

According to experts, if production volumes are not increased and the balance between supply and demand in the domestic market is not ensured, the pressure on meat prices may persist in the coming months.
