Shavkat Mirziyoyev visited the mausoleum of Imam Bukhari

President Shavkat Mirziyoyev visited Samarkand on August 25. According to tradition, first of all, the mausoleum of Imam Bukhari was visited. The Quran was recited and prayers were said.

The head of state inspected the construction work in the complex. The total area of ​​the shrine has been expanded to 44 hectares. The construction of the mausoleum, a mosque for 10 thousand people and an administration building has been completed. 75-meter minarets at the four corners of the complex have been erected.

The President emphasized that this complex should not only be a place of pilgrimage, but also a place of knowledge, education and example. It was noted that Imam Bukhari's research, knowledge and perfection will be a good example for those who come here, especially young people.

For this purpose, an innovative museum is also being created in the new complex. It will showcase the life and scientific heritage of Imam Bukhari, his contribution to the development of Islamic enlightenment. The museum will also house information about the history of the 25 prophets mentioned in the Holy Quran, the genealogy of Muhammad, his life in Mecca and Medina, and the collection and writing of hadiths.

The construction of hotels and other service buildings around the shrine has also entered the final stage. The head of state gave instructions on the high-quality implementation of construction, expanding amenities for people, and increasing green spaces around the complex.
