BMW iX3 50 xDrive: Electric crossover is both more powerful and cheaper than the gasoline model

BMW's US division has announced the technical specifications for the new BMW iX3 50 xDrive electric crossover. According to the EPA rating system, this model can cover up to 700 kilometers on a single charge. However, this figure depends on the tires chosen: while 700 km is achievable with 20-inch summer tires, the figure is around 615 km with all-season tires. This is reported by Ixbt.com .
The pricing policy of the new model is also noteworthy. The electric BMW iX3 50 xDrive starts at $62,850, while the gasoline-powered BMW X3 M50 xDrive costs $67,850. Interestingly, the electric version produces 463 horsepower, significantly outperforming the 393 horsepower of the gasoline variant.
Another key advantage of the vehicle is its support for ultra-fast charging systems up to 400 kW. According to the company, this technology allows for adding 300 km of range in just 10 minutes. With this performance, BMW is outperforming its main competitor, the Tesla Model Y.
Currently, orders for the BMW iX3 50 xDrive are being accepted in the US market. Customers must pay a $1,000 deposit to reserve the vehicle. Deliveries to the first owners of the new crossovers are scheduled to begin in September.
