The race for one of the most prestigious awards in world football — the Golden Ball — is already heating up. Goal publication has presented an updated ranking for 2026, and the leaders remain unchanged.
Harry Kane sits at the top of the ranking. The Bayern Munich striker is currently seen as the main favorite thanks to his consistent play and high productivity.
Behind him is his teammate Michael Olise, who occupies second place.
The third spot was taken by Lamin Yamal. The Barcelona winger, despite his youth, is in the spotlight thanks to his high-level performances.
The following positions are also occupied by familiar names: stars such as Luis Díaz, Erling Haaland, Kylian Mbappé, Ousmane Dembélé, Declan Rice, Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, and Julián Álvarez have all secured spots in the top ten.
Interestingly, veteran superstars have also improved their positions. Lionel Messi moved up from 15th to 13th place, while Cristiano Ronaldo rose from 17th to 14th.
It should be noted that Dembélé won this award last year and remains among the contenders.
