At the recently organized meeting, the main issue on the agenda was devoted to school education. In this discussion, special attention was paid to the problems of transport and infrastructure for students in remote areas.
It was reported that currently, more than 74,000 students commute to school from long distances, that is, from 5-7 kilometers. This situation creates difficulties for the effectiveness of education and the daily movement of children.
In this regard, the khokimiyats of Kashkadarya and Surkhandarya regions allocated funds to resolve the issue and organized the organization of free bus services in 100 schools. This initiative creates convenience for students and ensures their safe and timely arrival at school.
At the same time, the khokims of Samarkand and Jizzakh also put forward an initiative to launch such a bus service in 100 schools within a month. At the meeting, this practice was assessed as an example for the remaining regions, and it was noted that it will inspire them to facilitate the daily movement of students.
At the meeting, it was also announced that 201 specialized schools for gifted students have been established over the past three years. However, it was noted that construction and repair work in 12 specialized schools has not yet been completed.
The relevant khokims were instructed to fully complete this work by the end of the year. This decision was made to improve the quality of school education, create modern infrastructure for gifted students, and ensure their stable and convenient access to education.
At the meeting, it was noted that any effective initiative in the field of transport and infrastructure serves as a model throughout the country, and local authorities need to develop long-term plans in this direction.
